Meladine
What is Meladine?
According to Creative Technologies, Inc., Meladine is the first
product of its kind to efficiently augment the effects of hair removal
lasers in treating white, gray and blonde hair. It is a patent melanin
enhancer that appendages the natural melanin in hair. An original
liposome delivery system guarantees that the tincture is able to
penetrate deep into the hair follicle to provide melanin to the
bulb and the bulge. The melanin deposit provides a temporary melanin-rich
target in the follicle to aid the effects of the laser. Results
from a study show the six months after the last laser treatment,
90 percent of patients experienced permanent hair reduction of over
75 percent within 10 treatments.
How it works
When scattered on the desired area, Meladine’s™ patented
delivery system selectively dumps natural melanin directly into
the hair follicle. The melanin is delivered via liposomes which
are engrossed by the hair follicle. The result is fleeting, melanin-rich
follicles that hair deduction lasers are able to target. As laser
light passes through the epidermis, it is able to locate and disable
the now-pigmented hair follicle—just as if the follicle had
its own natural bloom.
Because the melanin is dumped openly into the hair follicle, the
patient will not knowledge bloom to the hair shaft in the area being
treated. In other words, the hair above the surface of the skin
will not darken, the only coloration will occur within the hair
follicle which is under the skin.
Treatment
There are three types of treatment with Meladine:
Patient Compliance
In order for Meladine to be effective, it must first be applied
correctly and consistently. If the patient does not comply with
the full extent of the commands, he will not build a enough melanin
deposit in the hair follicle for the laser to target.
Laser Treatment
Proper laser handling with Meladine begins with applying sufficient
energy levels to the pretreated hair. While this may seem obvious,
it is important to realize that, no matter what texture or color
the hair may be on the surface, Meladine treated hair will react
to the laser as if it were a fine, light brown hair.
Realistic Expectations
Since its introduction, Meladine has been serving thousands of patients
to realize the hair elimination results they are looking for. However,
it is extremely important to understand that while the success rate
may be high, there is no guarantee Meladine will work the same for
everyone.
